Jastarnia

Church This is probably one of the most beautiful towns in the Hel Peninsula. Only here visitors can experience the unique Pirate Midsummer, Hel Carnival and Eel Feast. Port A place to see in Jastarnia is a 19th-century fisherman's cottage where visitors are shown around by the custodian who is also a Kashubian poet. A beautiful church is located nearby, with a characteristic 154-feet-high tower topped with a Neo-Baroque cupola. One of the attractions of the church is the pulpit shaped like a ship floating on stormy waters. The tricks of the fisherman's trade can be learned in the Juliusz Struck's Fisheries Museum. Apart from various tools and fishing gear, the Museum houses a reconstruction of a habitable room from the beginnings of the 20th Muzeum century. An interesting part of the display are various parts of equipment caught by the local fishermen. To the East of Jastarnia harbour, shipwrecks are hidden deep in the bay waters. The place is easy to spot because of a hill with a cross located nearby, a remainder of an old graveyard.
