Chlapowo

airplane Ch³apowo is a quiet village where visitors will still find old cottages of frame construction. This former rural and fishing settlement has become a typical holiday resort recently. The ground in the area hides numerous treasures. First excavations in the 19th century revealed tombs of the East Pomeranian culture. The burial ground in Ch³apowo originates from the early Iron Age (650 - 400 BC). Archaeologists found there ash pots, earthenware, glass beads, amber jewellery and objects made of bronze. Other treasures of the region are deposits of potassium salt, used as fertiliser in agriculture, spreading within nearly 6 miles.

Ravine Ch³apowo surprises with yet another gem - an enchanting Ch³apowo Ravine, called Rudnik or Rudnikowy ¯³ób by the local folk. The ravine is overgrown with juniper and broom and it is possible to see the Baltic Sea at a distance and walk there along a crooked path.

paragliding The steep cliff in the vicinity of Ch³apowo provides excellent conditions for practising paragliding.
