Kuznica

shipyard Located on one of the narrowest sections of the Hel Peninsula - between Kuznica and Chałupy it is only 262 feet wide. In spite of that, Kuznica was the largest village on the Hel Sandbar in the 19th century.

Church The church located at the main route was built in 1930 after the sanctuary of The Queen of Polish Sea in Swarzewo. Once a year, on St. Peter and Paul's Day, fishermen from Kuznica roll their finely decorated boats to Puck to take part in a church fete. On their way, they take a stop in the middle of the Bay to hear the Holy Mass. Some of the fishermen take tourists to the Puck Bay, or Pucczi Wik in the local language. It is a great opportunity then to see the Kuznica Pit, a 23 feet deep abyss in the Puck Bay.
